Update, March 2024: We are not doing any visits, hikes or rentals in 2024. Only forestry activity this year. Other llama ranches near Evergreen are Shining Mountain Llamas in Como and Front Range Llamas in Pine.
No visitors at this time. The ranch is not visible from public roads.
"Can we pet the llamas?" This is a common question. Once we have some boys haltered you will be able to touch them on the neck and see what their fiber feels like, and they are fine with this, but understand they don't really like to be touched. Some llamas are fit for petting zoos, but here at BRL we have working llamas who are raised and trained for packing.
Ranch Visit (not offered in 2024)
Interact with the llamas and get all your questions answered. About an hour. Price is for the group, not per person.
Unguided Day Hike (not offered in 2024)
Spend the day trekking with pack llamas. We will spend about an hour training you and answering questions, then get some boys saddled (to carry your gear, not you) so you can head out and explore Bell Ranch and the adjacent Arapaho National Forest. Bring snacks or a picnic and take as much time as you want. We have trails on our 80 acres plus we border millions of acres of public land. Price is for the group, not per person.
Pack Llama Rentals (not offered in 2024)
Rentals are $?? per day per llama with a 2 llama minimum and 3 day minimum. Training might be required for new clients at $100 to $200. $?? per day for trailer rental or $?? per day for stock rack rental. We have lots of timber. If you have a 4x4 pickup you can gather a load somewhere on the property for $20. Or for $40, you can take a load of bucked boles from near the house or barn.
